Agriturismo near Florence (Firenze)
Visiting Florence − or Firenze, as Italians call it − is, of course, something special. But are you also looking for rural tranquillity? Then choose an agriturismo nearby. My Italy has a number of luxurious, comfortable agriturismos around this incomparable city of art. Some of these agriturismos are child-friendly. I – Margot – have personally visited and carefully selected them. So you can trust my selection.
Enjoying your holiday in the Italian countryside
An agriturismo is a farm with luxury holiday accommodation. This could be a room or apartment in a beautifully renovated country house, or a luxury villa. The farm often grows grapes or olives. They sometimes also produce jam, honey or cheese. You will therefore be staying in the Italian countryside, with respect for nature. A wonderful place to relax after a day in the city.
Art City Florence
Florence is Italy’s supreme city of art and culture. It’s lovely just to wander through the centuries-old streets and beautiful squares. There are interesting shops, bars, restaurants and terraces everywhere. Have a look at the lovely goldsmiths’ workshops on the Ponte Vecchio. Visit the leather market behind the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (also known as the Duomo). The Duomo, with its enormous dome, is Florence’s most beautiful church. And of world fame is the Uffizi museum. And if you want to get an insight into the lives of the locals? Have a coffee at Caffè Pasticceria Serafini. Their pastry is to die for too!
An agriturismo near Florence
After spending a day in the city, what could be lovelier than to relax in an agriturismo in the country? My Italy offers several agriturismos in the vicinity of Florence. All of them with a pool. Some of them have their own restaurant, serving local dishes and their own products. We also offer child-friendly agriturismos with family apartments. Enjoyment for the whole family. From some of the agriturismos you can take the train to Florence. So you won’t need to look for a parking space in the city.
Personally visited and selected by Margot
I have personally visited and carefully selected every agriturismo that I offer. I have selected them for quality, atmosphere, authenticity and hospitality, amongst other criteria. I have lived in Tuscany for over 10 years, so I know the language, the culture and the agriturismos, as well as their owners. Would you like to hear more about the possibilities? Do contact me, I’ll be happy to advise you on your ideal agriturismo near Florence.
