What is an agriturismo?
An agriturismo is a working farm that offers holiday accommodation in the form of rooms, apartments, or both. From bed & breakfast rooms to a luxury villa or apartment, or a restored country house. It may have a restaurant (serving local specialties), and these are usually also frequented by the locals. An agriturismo is beautifully situated in the country, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Most agriturismos make olive oil and wine, and sometimes they grow grain and vegetables too.
Savour the products of the season
The food in Italy is spectacularly good, all year round. Enjoy it at your agriturismo’s own restaurant, or else at one of the many restaurants to be found close by.
