Authentic agriturismo with tasteful apartments
I had had my eye on this agriturismo for quite a while, but I never managed to make an appointment. This time luckily the owner answered positively to my request to come by for a visit. It was the last day before the winter closure, but that was no problem. At least I had an appointment! So I had high expectations and fortunately the agriturismo in real life was at least as nice as in the pictures. My preference is for authentic farmhouses with modern interior and original exterior. And this agriturismo has managed to combine the two perfectly . The property is in a quiet rural location in the heart of Tuscany, between Volterra and Siena. They have wonderful views and the village of Casole d'Elsa is about 15 km away.
Pool & dinner
The agriturismo consists of two renovated farmhouses. The estate measures at least 12 acres, so there’s no lack of space. The spacious garden has a swimming pool, a playground and a communal barbecue. Given sufficient interest, in high season they cook for the guests several times a week. In fine weather dinner is served on the terrace and you can enjoy eating al fresco.
Apartments
In total, the agriturismo has seven beautiful apartments spread over two farm houses. All apartments have a private terrace and are equipped with kitchen with oven, wifi, and LCD TV. Some apartments have their own washing machine. But there is also a shared washing machine. Only the largest apartment has a dishwasher.
In short
This is a child friendly agriturismo with tastefully decorated apartments. The agriturismo is in a central and panoramic location in Tuscany and is therefore a good base for visiting Volterra, Siena, San Gimignano and Florence. Ideal for lovers of peace and nature in a comfortable environment!
