Family friendly farmhouse with apartments and panoramic pool

This agriturismo has the same owner as agriturismo number 95. When I arrived I was greeted with a glass of house wine and afterwards he showed me his 4 properties one by one. All nicely renovated Tuscan farmhouses among the cornfields. The owner is justifiably proud of his business and he is a born host who does everything to make his guests feel at home. He himself lives with his wife and three young children in a farmhouse behind this agriturismo.

The agriturismo is situated on a beautiful hill and has wonderful views of the cornfields, Volterra and the Tuscan countryside. The wheat fields belong to the property, in addition the agriturismo produces Tuscan olive oil, white and red wine and honey.

Apartments

The agriturismo is a converted farmhouse in Tuscan style with a total of 8 apartments of different composition. There are apartments with 2 and 3 bedrooms. All apartments have a 2-seater sofa bed in the living room and an open kitchen with a stove, microwave and fridge freezer. The furnishing is Tuscan, functional (no TV) and colourful. Also all apartments have a balcony or terrace with a private sitting area and fantastic views over the Tuscan hills.

Pool & child friendly

The agriturismo has a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds and stunning views of Volterra. Above the pool is a panoramic terrace with pergola from where you can enjoy the Tuscan countryside. The agriturismo also has a playground, a ping pong table and a football game and there are a number of (child) bikes. To see the animals, such as donkeys, ponies, pigs and dogs you have to drive, walk or bike to the nearby farmhouse 95.

Restaurant

The owner takes pleasure in letting his guests discover Tuscan cuisine and three times a week you are invited to dinner at agriturismo 95. In his restaurant with large terrace, pizza oven and barbecue, you eat at long tables on the terrace or at tables in the garden. During the evenings there is music from the jukebox and once a week they organise live music and for the children there is a bouncy castle in the garden. For these evenings all the guests from the owner’s 4 agriturismos are invited, so it's quite a happening.

On Saturday there is a buffet with all kinds of Tuscan appetizers at which everyone can get to know each other. On Tuesday it’s pizza night (from the wood oven!) And on Thursday it’s pasta night. The fresh pasta can be made by the children themselves under the guidance of Barbara, the host. The bread for the meals they bake in the afternoon in the wood oven. During these evenings the food is free and you only pay for your drinks. A bottle of red or white house wine will cost you 8 euros.
