Family friendly agriturismo with large pool and new apartments in Tuscany

This agriturismo belongs to the same owner as agriturismo number 95. After I was greeted with a glass of white wine we drove along a country road to this agriturismo for an extensive tour. It was immediately clear to me that the owner is a born host who does everything to make his guests feel at home.

The agriturismo is surrounded by cornfields and has stunning views of Volterra and the surrounding Tuscan hills. The grain of this agriturismo is organic. The property also has 400 olive trees for their own production of Tuscan olive oil and they make white and red wine and honey.

Apartments

The property consists of two fully renovated Tuscan style farmhouses with a total of 17 apartments of different composition. There are apartments with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. There is also a separate house with 4 bedrooms, ideal for a large family or two families together. All apartments have a 2-seater sofa bed in the living room and an open kitchen with a stove, microwave and fridge freezer. The furnishing is Tuscan, functional (no TV) and colourful. All apartments have a balcony or terrace with a private table and chairs and fantastic views over the Tuscan hills.

Pool & child friendly

The agriturismo has a large pool with jacuzzi. Because of its location on a hill you have beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside and Volterra. Around the pool there are sunbeds, tables and chairs and a large lawn for children to play on. The agriturismo also has a playground, a ping pong table and a football game and there are a number of (child) bicycles that you can use. At the nearby agriturismo 95 there are various animals such as horses, donkeys, ponies and dogs that children may help feed.

Restaurant

The owner takes pleasure in having his guests discover Tuscan cuisine and three times a week, you are invited to his restaurant at the nearby agriturismo 95. On Saturday there is a buffet with all kinds of Tuscan appetizers and where everyone can get to know each other. Tuesday is pizza night (from the wood oven!) and Thursday  is pasta night. The fresh pasta can be made by the children under the guidance of the host. The bread for the meals they bake in the afternoon in the wood oven.

For these evenings all the guests from the owner’s 4 other agriturismos  are invited, so it's quite a happening. Outside on the covered terrace you eat at long tables and once a week there is live music. For the children there is a bouncy castle in the garden during these dinners. The food is free and you only pay for your drinks. You can buy a bottle of the property’s red or white house wine for 8 euros.

A special child-friendly agriturismo with nice apartments, great pool and very welcoming owners. Quietly situated among the cornfields with stunning views of Volterra. Because there are 17 apartments, there is more chance of playmates for the children.
