Warm and welcoming agriturismo in Veneto, close to the beach

On one of my trips through Veneto, I spotted a lovely agriturismo set back from the road. Curious, I turned in on a whim – and was warmly welcomed by the young owner. Despite a packed schedule, he took plenty of time for me. It felt immediately familiar – I knew right away: this was a place for My Italy!

The agriturismo is set in the countryside, yet just a 15-minute drive from the beach. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to unwind in nature while also being close to the sea. The nearest coastal town is lively and charming, with a wide sandy beach and a laid-back vibe.

But there’s more to explore than just sun and sand. About half an hour away is Caorle – a colourful, atmospheric town with narrow lanes, pavement cafés and small shops. Another nice outing is Noventa di Piave, about 20 minutes away. You can visit the old church or head to the popular outlet village for some retail therapy.

Venice is also easy to reach. From the train station just 10 minutes away, it’s a 30–40 minute ride straight into the heart of the city. Yes, it can be busy, but it’s one of those places everyone should see at least once.

Relaxed outdoor living

Life here is all about enjoying the outdoors. Cool off in the pool overlooking the fields or relax on a sun lounger in the shade. There’s a new kiosk-style poolside bar (open from 10am to 7pm), perfect for a drink or snack – or a classic Italian aperitivo outdoors. You’ll find plenty of restaurants within easy driving distance, but if you feel like staying in, there’s a communal barbecue area surrounded by greenery – ideal for a relaxed evening with family or fellow guests.

Local touches at breakfast and aperitivo

Start your day with a leisurely à la carte breakfast, available for an additional charge, featuring homemade and locally sourced treats: fresh bread, cakes from the kitchen, jam from the orchard and regional cheeses and cured meats. In the late afternoon, the owners will gladly prepare a platter of local specialities for aperitivo – perfect with a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz.

Comfortable rooms and apartments

The agriturismo offers comfortable double rooms, a few self-catering apartments and stylish superior rooms for 2 to 4 guests. Interiors are simple, tasteful and full of character – just as you’d expect from a genuine Italian agriturismo. All units come with air conditioning and Wi-Fi, ensuring a pleasant stay even on hot summer days. Outside, the shared terrace offers a quiet spot to enjoy a book or a glass of local wine.
