Beautifully restored agriturismo among the vineyards of the Langhe
I discovered this special agriturismo by chance on a sunny autumn day. I love coming to this part of Piedmont – it is simply beautiful. I walked onto the property unannounced and was immediately welcomed by the friendly owner. Proudly, she shared the family history: this was once a small borgo where generations of their ancestors lived and worked. For many years the complex stood abandoned, but during the recent restoration the family chose to preserve every detail with great respect. Wherever possible, original features were retained and the old spaces were given new functions. The result is a pleasant blend of tradition and modern comfort.
Among the vineyards of the Langhe
The location is wonderfully peaceful, set in the hills of one of Piedmont’s most renowned wine regions: the Langhe. This area is famous for its Barolo, Dolcetto and Barbera wines and is characterised by charming medieval villages, baroque churches and an impressive castle watching over the landscape. Surrounding the property are spacious green terraces with fruit trees, vineyards and a small woodland. It is a delightful place for walking, reading or simply enjoying the silence and the views over the vineyards and rolling Piedmontese hills.
Panoramic pool with bar and jacuzzi
This agriturismo offers a perfect balance of tranquillity, nature and comfort. The panoramic swimming pool is beautifully set among the vineyards and features a generous sunbathing area with sweeping views. There is also a jacuzzi, ideal for relaxing. During the high season (from June to September), a bar is open by the pool where guests can enjoy light, cold lunch dishes – such as salads, caprese, melon with ham and sandwiches – as well as drinks and aperitivi.
Breakfast and wellness
The breakfast room is located in the former stable, where the original feeding troughs are still visible. On request and at an additional charge, wine tastings and showcooking events featuring traditional dishes from the Langhe are also organised here.
In addition, there is a small wellness area with a sauna, cold Scottish shower and relaxation area. This wellness space is intended for use by a maximum of two people and is available by reservation and for an additional fee. A lovely place to unwind after a day of exploring the region.
Atmospheric courtyard with olive tree
In the charming inner courtyard stands an old olive tree, forming the symbolic heart of the property. Comfortable armchairs and parasols make it a wonderful spot to sit in the evening with a good glass of wine. For guests who would like to explore the surroundings more actively, e-bikes are available for hire. There is also a charging point for electric cars.
Rooms & apartment
The agriturismo features five atmospheric rooms where modern elements blend harmoniously with rustic charm. Warm colours, carefully chosen materials and stylish details create a cosy and relaxing ambience. All rooms have modern bathrooms and are equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV.
There is also a two-storey apartment, ideal for those who prefer more space, are travelling with several people or are planning a longer stay. On the ground floor you will find a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one of which can be arranged with twin beds – and a living room. The apartment has direct access to both the garden and the courtyard.
