Intimate boutique resort between Bolgheri and the sea

Hidden away among the rolling hills of Bolgheri, surrounded by vineyards and greenery, this intimate boutique resort is a wonderful place for those seeking peace, comfort and quality. On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by Anna, who first took the time for a coffee and a friendly chat before proudly showing me around the estate. What immediately stands out is the sense of calm. The surroundings are beautifully maintained, with vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees shaping the typical Tuscan landscape.

From the resort, you look out towards Castagneto Carducci, a charming hilltop village with narrow streets, small piazzas and several excellent restaurants. In the evening, the village lights up beautifully and can be seen glowing softly in the distance. As it is only a short drive away, it is the sort of place you find yourself returning to throughout the day – for a morning cappuccino, a relaxed lunch or dinner in the evening.

The lovely village of Bolgheri is also nearby, well known for its iconic cypress-lined avenue and its many renowned wineries. The coast is equally close: within just a few minutes, you can reach the sandy beaches of the Costa degli Etruschi, where you can choose between free beaches or one of the many beach clubs offering sunbeds and umbrellas.

The agriturismo itself has been created from a carefully restored Tuscan farmhouse. Original features such as natural stone, wooden beams and warm earthy tones have been preserved, giving the property an authentic feel while still offering every modern comfort. Organic wine and olive oil are produced on the estate and can be tasted and purchased on site. Set among the vines is a panoramic tasting room overlooking Castagneto Carducci – a particularly lovely setting for a wine tasting or an aperitivo at the end of the day.

The gardens have been designed by a renowned landscape architect and are maintained with great care. Throughout the seasons, different plants come into bloom, including jasmine, lavender, rosemary and roses. The many citrus trees, a true passion of the owner, add to the distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere. One thoughtful touch is the regular use of organic citronella throughout the grounds, helping to keep insects away during the warmer months.

Guests also have access to a water and ice dispenser – a small but much-appreciated extra that adds to the comfort of the stay.

Stylish and comfortable apartments

The property offers five luxury apartments and one detached cottage. All accommodations are spacious, bright and tastefully furnished, with a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Privacy is very much part of the experience here, allowing guests to fully relax and enjoy their own space.

The kitchens are fully equipped with a dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Longer stays have also been well considered, with each apartment featuring its own Miele washing machine and dryer.

All accommodations have air conditioning in both the living area and bedroom, as well as a private terrace or patio with comfortable outdoor seating and space for al fresco dining.

Swimming pool, wellness and e-bikes

The panoramic swimming pool is beautifully positioned among the olive trees and enjoys lovely views towards the village. It is open throughout the year. There is also a wellness area with a sauna, Turkish bath and a small fitness room. Thanks to the large glass windows, the surrounding landscape always feels close by, creating a strong connection with nature.

For guests wishing to explore the area, several e-bikes are available, making it easy to cycle through the hills, into Castagneto Carducci or down towards the sea.

All facilities are included. Access to the wellness area is by reservation only, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive atmosphere for all guests. Covered parking is available, along with a charging point for electric cars.
