Beautiful resort with spa, restaurant and close to the sea
Some accommodations are not simply discovered online but are introduced through personal contact. I came across this resort at a travel fair, where the conversation immediately felt pleasant and natural. What was said there about the atmosphere, facilities and philosophy is also reflected in reality: a well-kept and comfortable resort, rich in amenities, where activities can be alternated with moments of relaxation.
The resort is surrounded by greenery with views of the sea and, on clear days, even as far as the island of Elba. The location is quite special where the sea, rolling hills and the landscape of the Maremma come together. The complex consists of a main building with rooms, a restaurant, bar and spa and a small village located about 200 metres away.
A main road runs alongside the resort, so this is not a place for complete silence, but rather a comfortable and well-organised base for guests who like having facilities within easy reach and who want to combine an active holiday with relaxation.
Golf, wellness, restaurant and swimming pool
Golf plays an important role within the resort. The 18-hole Championship golf course is harmoniously integrated into the landscape, among olive trees and water features, with sea views from several holes. The course is suitable for both experienced players and beginners: it is challenging yet enjoyable to play, making it ideal for those who want to combine golf with relaxation.
Although golf plays an important role, this resort is also suitable for non-golfers. The layout of the resort, the spa, the swimming pools and its proximity to the sea make it a complete destination, without golf ever taking centre stage. For relaxation, there is a spa, a modern wellness centre where guests can use a sauna, a Turkish steam bath and various wellness areas. Access to the spa and the outdoor jacuzzi is available by reservation and subject to availability. The spa is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00 and accessible from the age of 16. Massages and treatments are available at an additional cost.
Outside there is a pleasant pool area (open during the summer season), featuring a two-level swimming pool, a lower section with hydromassage and a separate area for children. From the sun loungers and gazebos, you can enjoy views of Elba.
Also in culinary terms there is no need to leave the resort. The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 12:30 to 14:30 and for dinner from 19:30 to 21:30. The cuisine is well-prepared and seasonal, fitting a relaxed holiday atmosphere. For a coffee, aperitif or drink, guests can visit the bar, which is open daily from 8:30 to 19:30. Simple lunch dishes such as toast and piadine are also available, along with a selection of drinks and cocktails.
Beach with beach club
The resort works in partnership with an elegant beach club by the sea, which is open from April to September and located about a five-minute drive away. Through the resort, umbrellas and sun loungers can be reserved. The beach club features changing rooms, hot and cold showers, a bar and a restaurant, as well as a parking area that is free for guests. For those who prefer a more active stay, various activities are available both on the water and on the beach.
The rooms
The resort offers approximately 50 rooms, spread between the main building and the Borgo. For those who want all facilities within easy reach and to stay in the heart of the resort, the rooms in the main building are the ideal choice. Those looking for more privacy, peace and complete relaxation in an intimate and sheltered setting can opt for the rooms in the Borgo, overlooking the small lake of the golf course. These are located about 200 metres from the main building and can be reached via an unpaved road that runs through the olive groves.
The rooms are bright and comfortable, decorated in light colours, and offer views of the sea, the garden or the golf course. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, smart TV, minibar, safe, kettle, and a bathroom with shower and bidet. The resort is pet-friendly: small and medium-sized dogs are allowed. Some rooms in the Borgo have a private garden which, although not fenced, is particularly suitable for guests travelling with pets.
In short
A well-maintained and complete resort to stay where golf, wellness and the sea come together. Even without playing golf, it is a pleasant place to enjoy comfort, facilities and the nearby beach. Not an isolated and silent retreat, but a welcoming and well-organised accommodation where service and quality are central.
