Agriturismo in the hills near Lake Como

This agriturismo is set in the first hills just behind the town of Como, in a green and peaceful setting on the edge of a regional nature park. Although surrounded by countryside, it is easy to reach and not at all remote. Within a few minutes’ drive you are already at Lake Como or in the centre of Como.

The agriturismo occupies a large country house that was bought a few years ago by the current owner and her family and carefully restored. The character of the original house has been preserved, while the interiors now have a fresh and comfortable feel. During my visit, what stood out most was the warm welcome and the calm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it such a pleasant place to stay.

Thanks to its strategic location, this is an ideal place for those who would like to combine the tranquillity of the countryside with the lively atmosphere of Lake Como. Places such as Cernobbio, Como and Lecco are all within easy reach and well worth a visit for a walk along the waterfront, a boat trip on the lake or lunch on a terrace.

The immediate surroundings are also perfect for exploring. In the nearby nature reserve you will find several walking routes and panoramic paths through woodland and rolling hills. For those who enjoy being active, there are plenty of opportunities to discover the area.

Swimming pool, breakfast and jacuzzi

The day starts with a lovely breakfast with local products, which can be served outside when the weather is fine.

The property has a panoramic swimming pool, heated and open from May to September. There is also a jacuzzi with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and hills, as well as a small sauna — a pleasant place to relax after a day out. Use of the sauna is by reservation and for an additional fee.

During your stay you can also taste the estate’s wine in the attractive wine cellar. The family has brought an old vineyard back into use and now produces a small amount of their own wine.

Suites and apartment

The agriturismo offers three spacious suites and one apartment. The suites are bright and comfortable, combining a rural feel with modern comfort. They have a private bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, minibar and a terrace or outdoor seating area with views of the garden or the surrounding hills.

There is also an apartment with a living room and fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. This apartment is especially suitable for families or guests who would like a little more space and independence during their stay.
