Agriturismo with infinity pool and stunning views of the Barolo vineyards
In the middle of the vineyards where the grapes for the famous Barolo wine grow, you will find this peaceful and modern agriturismo. It was sustainably built: the old stable was transformed using natural materials into a modern accommodation that blends beautifully into the landscape. It is a mostly-adults property, meaning that only children aged 15 and above are welcome. During my visit, the location immediately stood out – what a breathtaking view over the hills of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a wonderful base to explore the region, but also simply to enjoy the scenery, the pool and a wonderfully relaxing stay.
This is a true family-run agriturismo: the mother and daughter warmly welcome the guests, the father passionately produces the wine, and the grandmother takes care of delicious fresh produce from her orto (vegetable garden).
Explore the surroundings of Barolo and La Morra
There is plenty to see and do in the immediate surroundings. Barolo is nearby and a must for wine and history lovers, with its castle and the WiMu wine museum as highlights. The charming village of La Morra is known for one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Langhe: from the central square you look out over endless vineyards. If you prefer a bit more liveliness, Alba is a delightful town with shops, restaurants and an atmospheric historic centre.
There is a restaurant just 400 metres from the agriturismo, and within a radius of 3–10 km you will find numerous other restaurants serving the local specialities of Piedmont. Think of dishes with Alba white truffle, Agnolotti del Plin (filled pasta) or my personal favourite, Vitello Tonnato.
Breakfast with local products and fantastic views
Breakfast is served in a separate little house on the most panoramic spot of the agriturismo, offering stunning views over the rows of vineyards. Every morning a generous buffet is prepared with organic regional products such as cheeses, yoghurt, homemade jams and other fresh specialties. In good weather, you can enjoy breakfast outside on the balcony.
If you prefer to have breakfast in the privacy of your own apartment or on your terrace, it can be delivered on request.
In the breakfast room, wine tastings and small cooking workshops can also be arranged, such as making fresh pasta under the guidance of the owner’s mother. In her pride and joy, the vegetable garden, you may pick your own herbs, tomatoes and other produce.
Infinity pool, wellness & fitness room
At the heart of the agriturismo lies a 20-metre infinity pool, perfect for swimming laps. Thanks to a modern filtration system with magnesium salt, the water is soft, mineral-rich and very gentle on the skin and eyes. The view over the vineyards makes swimming here truly special.
There is also a small wellness area with a Finnish sauna and a relaxation room with comfortable loungers. On the covered panoramic terrace you will find a jacuzzi – ideal for a warm bath in the early or late season.
Below the breakfast room is a compact but well-equipped fitness room with modern Technogym equipment such as a treadmill, exercise bike and weights. Prefer to head outdoors? The agriturismo offers e-bikes for rent, perfect for exploring the area at a relaxed pace – along panoramic roads, through villages and between the hills.
The apartments
The agriturismo offers six comfortable apartments. Each has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with sofa bed, a double bedroom and a modern bathroom. Outside, you have your own terrace or patio with a dining table and two comfortable chairs.
Thanks to the home automation system, you can check in independently and access a digital guestbook with practical information and tips. You can also control, for example, the temperature of your apartment. Do you prefer personal contact? The reception is open daily from 8:00 to 15:00 for all your questions.
In short
A stylish mostly-adults agriturismo surrounded by Barolo vineyards, with a panoramic pool, wellness area, e-bikes and comfortable apartments. Ideal if you enjoy peace, nature and the flavours of Piedmont – with the beautiful landscape of the Langhe as the perfect backdrop.
