Luxurious agriturismo at walking distance from Lake Garda
Agriturismos within walking distance of a village are quite unique, as most of them are in rather remote locations. I was therefore pleasantly surprised with this one! Within walking distance of Lake Garda (400 metres) and at the edge of a lively village on the Lake (about 500 metres), with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. The agriturismo has houses on one side, but vineyards on the other, and is built in a U-shape characteristic of this region, with the apartments overlooking “la corte” (the yard), where the swimming pool is.
The property is a good base from which to visit the sights around Lake Garda. Sirmione − a picturesque and famous little town situated on a peninsula in the lake − is only 12 km away, and Peschiera del Garda 15. Verona, with its famous amphitheatre and beautiful centre is also within easy reach (about 45 km). There are several spas and golf courses in the vicinity of the agriturismo, and if you are holidaying with your children, various theme parks that you can visit. Gardaland (25 km), for instance, is famous, but there is also a fun water park with slides about a 30-minute drive away.
The apartments
The 10 apartments are situated in a beautifully restored mansion dating from 1700. The authenticity of the mansion has been preserved and combines beautifully with the bright, up-to-date apartments. These vary in size. There are bilocale apartments (one bedroom), trilocale (two bedrooms) and quadrilocale (3 bedrooms). All of the apartments have their own terrace and are provided with air-conditioning, wifi, dishwasher, oven, microwave, Smart TV, Illy coffee maker, toaster, water kettle and a hair-dryer. No stinting on comfort, therefore!
