The 5 cottages of this agriturismo are located on a hill with beautiful sea views. You do not expect a quiet place like this just 20 minutes from the city of Siracusa. The agriturismo is a bit remote and in the immediate vicinity there are only a few houses and old farms. The fields between the cottages and the sea, about 500 meters, are a nature reserve and therefore nothing else can be built there. So the beautiful view is guaranteed! You can walk to the sea along a path. There is no sandy beach but rocks. To reach a beautiful sandy beach you need to drive about 5 minutes. The proprietress does not live on site but in Siracusa. A city that certainly is worth a visit, especially the peninsula Ortigia. This is becoming more popular each year, with the rich, too, who moor their yachts right on the waterfront of the city. It is nice to walk through the small streets and the squares with shops, bars and restaurants. Beautiful towns like Noto, Modica and the fishing village of Marzamemi are also within easy reach and even a day trip to Mount Etna is possible.

With eco sustainability in mind, the cottages are partly built from recycled materials. For example, the floorboards, which are therefore not entirely smooth due to the way the wood has been prepared. Or the recycled covers over the pergola that provide shade. Due to the location directly by the sea, both the exterior, the garden, and the interior of the cottages are suffering a bit from the salty air and the long hot summers. Therefore do not expect perfection here. But isn’t that the charm of Sicily?

Each cottage has one bedroom with double bed and two single sofa beds in the living room. There is a bathroom with shower and washing-machine and a small kitchenette with 2 hot plates. Outside on the verandah is a table and chairs for outdoor dining, with sea views. In the garden there is a large swimming-pool, also with stunning sea views.
